The song Somewhere In Neverland by the band All Time Low is one of my most loved, most listened to song. I think this song is intended for young adults, because the lyrics are talking about transitioning from kid to adult and not wanting to grow up. The song itself has a loud, exciting sounds with bass and guitar, but the rhythm has almost a sad vibe. The message the lyrics are sending is that growing up is boring, and being young is the “exciting” time of your life. Growing up means giving up some of the perks of being immature and taking on a lot of responsibility, which is a scary thing. I relate to the message here quite a bit, because getting older is actually a phobia of mine, because I do not feel ready to take on adulthood, even though it is less than two years away. I am a strong believer in living for the moment. I love this piece of media, because it reminds me to live life while I’m young, and not let the stress of life impact the fun.
